In a core needle biopsy, the physician makes a small skin incision through which a needle is inserted into the lesion to obtain sample tissue. Déroulement de la biopsie par forage (au trocart) : La peau et la région du sein contenant l'anomalie sont anesthésiées. Utilisation de la méthode de guidage choisie par le spécialiste (échographie ou stéréotaxie). Une petite coupure de 2 à 4 mm de long est faite sur la peau pour permettre le passage de l'aiguille à biopsie.
