Le schéma de calcul mis en œuvre avec Apollo-2-F pour la génération des grandeurs nécessaires à un calcul Smart est basé sur le découplage du calcul de cellule et du calcul spatial (calcul de cœur). Le calcul de cellule est réalisé avec un découpage énergétique à 99 groupes sur une géométrie assemblage simplifiée par des regroupements (modélisation multicellule), chaque cellule étant discrétisée. Le calcul spatial est réalisé avec un découpage énergétique réduit à 6 groupes sur une géométrie assemblage discrétisée comportant des cellules homogènes.
