This Major Crown Project has been established to acquire 100 Bell-412 helicopters. Designated as the CH-146, the CFUTTH helicopter is intended to replace the CH-118 Iroquois, the CH-135 Twin Huey and the CH-136 Kiowa currently in use with the Department of National Defence. The helicopters will be used in three areas of operations: as part of the Special Emergency Response Team; in base rescue; and for tactical transport requirements. Ce Grand projet de l'État a été institué afin d'acquérir 100 hélicoptères Bell-412.
