Carbonatite-associated deposits include a variety of mineral deposits that occur both within and in close spatial association with carbonatites and related alkalic silicate rocks. Carbonatite-associated deposits are mined for rare-earth elements (REEs), niobium, iron, copper, apatite, vermiculite, and fluorite.
