CONT

The Council of Muslim Communities of Canada (CMCC) was founded in 1972 [in Toronto]. The CMCC grew out of a firm commitment to self-help, and the feeling that it alone could undertake a coherent, national approach to the issues facing the Canadian Muslim community. Affiliated with it is a large number of Muslim associations across Canada.
