Child Find Manitoba was incorporated in April 1985 following the disappearance and murder of [a] 13-year-old ... Her mother ... and a group of dedicated volunteers created the organization to provide essential services to the families of missing children. Since then, the passion and dedication of the volunteers and staff of Child Find Manitoba has transformed the agency into a national, charitable organization dedicated to helping families and protecting children.

Renamed the Canadian Centre for Child Protection in 2006 to better reflect our national focus, we now operate four national programs, two that provide services relating to missing and exploited children, and two that focus on educating and empowering children and child-serving organizations.

En 2006, nous avons changé notre nom pour Centre canadien de protection de l’enfance afin de mieux refléter notre vocation nationale. Nous mettons désormais en œuvre quatre programmes nationaux : deux qui offrent des services dans les cas de disparition et d’exploitation d’enfants, et deux qui visent à éduquer et à outiller les enfants et les organismes de services à l’enfance.
