The Canadian Emergency Management College is a federal government learning institution providing programs and resources to the emergency management community across Canada. The College is an integral part of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Canada and supports its responsibility to enhance learning in all four pillars of emergency management. Originally established in 1954 to provide programs in wartime civil defence planning, the College has evolved its role and mandate to meet the continuously changing needs of Canadians. Today the core courses offered by the College focus on the management of a multi-service response to an emergency situation.

Le Collège canadien de gestion des urgences (CCGU) est un établissement d'enseignement du gouvernement fédéral qui offre des programmes et des ressources aux nombreux organismes de gestion des urgences du Canada. Partie intégrante de Sécurité publique et Protection civile Canada, le Collège aide le Ministère à s'acquitter de la mission qui lui a été confiée d'améliorer l'apprentissage concernant les quatre piliers de la gestion des urgences. Établi à l'origine en 1954 pour offrir des programmes de planification de protection civile en temps de guerre, le Collège a vu son rôle et son mandat évoluer de façon à pouvoir répondre aux besoins changeants des Canadiens et des Canadiennes. Aujourd'hui, les cours fondamentaux offerts par le Collège portent principalement sur la gestion d'une intervention multidisciplinaire en cas d'urgence.
