Each year the Province of Ontario presents the Community Action Awards to people who are dedicated to promoting the acceptance and participation of persons with disabilities in their communities. The awards recognize individuals who are forging new roles, initiating new programs and policies, and spearheading the widespread changes taking place around issues of access, services, supports and rights for persons with disabilities in communities across Ontario.
