Contenus. Le contenu est constitué de déchets ultimes compactés, bloqués (déchets hétérogènes) ou incorporés (déchets homogènes) dans un enrobé, ou bien encore de déchets incorporés dans une matrice de confinement. En toute rigueur, ces matrices sont des matériaux inertes qui digèrent ou incorporent de façon aussi homogène que possible, les radionucléides et les éléments qui sont dans les déchets.

OBS

En pratique, on désigne par matrice le matériau final qui est mis dans le conteneur, bien qu'il s'agisse d'un abus de langage.
