Équivalence continu-multigroupe. Un problème un peu similaire [à l’équivalence hétérogène-homogène] est celui de l’ajustement des sections efficaces multigroupes pour respecter l’absorption résonnante dans un calcul multigroupe selon un maillage extrêmement grossier à l’échelle des résonances. Il s’agit, là aussi, d’un problème de moyenne pour prendre en compte l’autoprotection en énergie et en espace, c’est-à-dire un phénomène non linéaire par rapport aux sections efficaces. Ces procédures d’équivalence ont été rendues extrêmement rigoureuses; les tests par rapport à des calculs de référence prouvent qu’elles sont satisfaisantes.
