[The method] was innovative in that it involved the concept of a stationary liquid (water) supported on an inert solid (silica), with the result that the solute molecules partitioned between the stationary liquid and a separate mobile liquid phase (chloroform). The technique came to be called partition chromatography. 2, record 1, English, - partition%20chromatography
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
The separation of a mixture occurs when a mobile phase (liquid or gas) passes over a stationary liquid phase which may be on paper, solid particles or the walls of a capillary tube. Partition processes include liquid-liquid, gas-liquid and paper chromatography. 3, record 1, English, - partition%20chromatography

Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 CONT
4, record 1, French, - chromatographie%20de%20partage
