Dans le délai de cinq jours prévu pour déclarer en détail des expéditions de grande valeur, le courtier sera tenu responsable d'obtenir un Numéro d'entreprise au nom de l'importateur et de transmettre à l'Agence des douanes et du revenu du Canada les renseignements nécessaires pour la déclaration en détail. Les marchandises ne peuvent pas être déclarées en détail sous un Numéro d'entreprise (NE) administratif. Le NE attribué à l'importateur devra ensuite figurer sur tous ses documents de mainlevée et de déclaration en détail.
