The focus of the Fair Labelling Practices Program is to develop policy dealing with consumer protection against product misrepresentation, mislabelling and fraud in the food sector and to provide this to the various commodity groups within the CFIA [Canadian Food Inspection Agency] to enforce within their areas of jurisdiction.
