The Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse negotiated with three sponsors - Health, Canada, the Association of Canadian Distillers and the Brewers Association of Canada, for the creation of an FAS/FAE Information Service, which was implemented in April 1994. Funded by the Brewers Association of Canada, the Association of Canadian Distillers and Health Canada, the service provides links to support groups, prevention projects, resource centres and experts on FAS/FAE. It also provides bilingual information on FAS/FAE to a variety of clients, including caregivers, educators, social workers, health care and treatment professionals, members of the legal community, policy makers and planners, researchers and the general public. 1, record 1, English, - FAS%2FFAE%20Information%20Service

Le Centre canadien de lutte contre l'alcoolisme et les toxicomanies (CCLAT) a entamé des négociations auprès de Santé Canada, de l'Association des distillateurs canadiens et de l'Association des brasseurs du Canada, qui ont accordé leur patronat et finalement permis d'ouvrir le Service d'information sur les FAS/EAF dès avril 1994. Le Service est financé par l'Association des brasseurs du Canada, l'Association des distillateurs canadiens et Santé Canada. Il fournit des liens essentiels aux groupes de soutien, aux responsables des projets de prévention, ainsi qu'aux centres d'information et aux experts en SAF/EAF.
