The Geomatics Development Program was an initiative of the GeoAccess Division, of the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing, Natural Resources Canada. It was a continuation of the Geographic Information Systems Development Programme (GISDP), which started in 1994. The goal of the GDP was to assist in the development of innovative geomatics applications or technologies by strengthening and supporting the competitiveness of the Canadian geomatics industry, and to assist with the transferring of technology. Le Programme de développement en géomatique (PDG) était une initiative de la Division GéoAccès du Centre canadien de télédétection (Ressources naturelles Canada).
