Heat-absorbing plate glass. This glass is made by adding ingredients to the mix used in making regular plate so that the finished product is pale bluish green or gray. Because of its chemical composition, this glass absorbs a significant percentage of the sun's radiant energy, thus reducing the build-up of heat within the building. ... glare and brightness in the room are reduced. This type of glass is quite widely used for glazing in office buildings, schools, and hospitals. 1, record 1, English, - heat%2Dabsorbing%20plate%20glass

3, record 1, French, - glace%20pare%2Dsoleil
