El Vocabulario científico y técnico de la Real Academia de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales dice que "hora" es sinónimo de "tiempo" cuando significa "Coordenada de referencia en el universo físico que, en un lugar determinado, permite ordenar la secuencia de los sucesos, estableciendo un pasado, un presente y un futuro". Este caso de sinonimia es patente en los términos tiempo/hora civil, tiempo/hora legal, tiempo/hora local, tiempo/hora oficial. En los casos de hora del Este, hora del Atlántico, etc., el uso indica una preferencia por el empleo de "hora" en vez de "tiempo", que es menos frecuente.

The hazard ratio is an estimate of the ratio of the hazard rate in the treated versus the control group. The hazard rate is the probability that if the event in question has not already occurred, it will occur in the next time interval, divided by the length of that interval. The time interval is made very short, so that in effect the hazard rate represents an instantaneous rate.

Under micro-irrigation, applications are scheduled to maintain soil available moisture at near maximum levels for optimum crop growth. ... Available soil moisture can be monitored.
