La popularité des imperrespirants tient à ce que nous détestons l'inconfort des vêtements mouillés. Ils se mouillent plus ou moins vite selon l'épaisseur de l'enduit ou du laminé. 1, record 1, French, - imperrespirant

The property of a fabric which stops liquid water going through but allows perspiration to exit. 1, record 2, English, - breathable%2Dwaterproof

A raindrop is 100 microns in size. Water vapor from our bodies is .0004 microns in size. So a garments fabrication must have pores smaller than 100, but larger than .0004 microns. The larger the pores, the more breathable, less waterproof and the smaller the pore, the more waterproof, but less breathable. So needless to say, there are several waterproof/breathable combinations to consider. 4, record 2, English, - breathable%2Dwaterproof

Waterproof Sweat-Transmitting Fabric. This composite fabric provides thermal insulation while keeping water out and letting perspiration pass through. A water-impermeable insulating material is sandwiched between two layers of a wicking fabric, which are connected to each other by wicking threads that pass through the insulating material. The outer wicking layer may also be covered by material that is water-impermeable but water-vapour-permeable. The major application for this fabric is boots and clothing intended for use in cold and wet conditions. 1, record 3, English, - waterproof%20sweat%2Dtransmitting%20fabric
