Record 1, Textual support, English
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 DEF
The fruit of [the litchi], usually eaten dried or preserved: it consists of a single seed surrounded by a sweet, edible, raisinlike pulp, enclosed in a rough, brown, papery shell. 6, record 1, English, - lychee
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
In a few days the fruits dehydrate naturally, the outer skin becomes brown and brittle, and the flesh becomes dry and shriveled like a raisin, somewhat musky in flavor. Because of this tendency, the fruits became known as "lychee nuts." This is a misunderstanding. They are not nuts, and the seed is not edible. 7, record 1, English, - lychee

3, record 1, French, - litchi
