Conversion matchback dans les EDL [Edit Decision List] film/vidéo. Vous avez la possibilité, lors du montage d'un projet de film à l'aide d'un système de montage vidéo Avid, de terminer le projet en vidéo. La conversion matchback requiert du système de montage qu'il réalise certains calculs pour adapter les données de film en données vidéo. La différence de rapport du nombre d'images film/vidéo entraîne un décalage dans l'alignement des points de montage du film et des points vidéo correspondants. Avec un rapport de 24 images de film pour 30 images vidéo, par exemple, un montage film de 6 images correspond exactement à un montage vidéo de 7,5 images. Les montages vidéo ne peuvent cependant pas comporter d'images partielles et le montage précédent doit contenir 7 ou 8 images.
