CNSC staff expressed the opinion that OPG [Ontario Power Generation] has an effective ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) radiation protection program at the WWMF [Western Waste Management Facility]. The program consists of a number of dose reduction practices, such as material containment, ventilation of work areas, radiological zoning, contamination monitoring, personal dosimetry and the use of interim Action Levels for whole body dose.
