MedEffect is one initiative that's part of Health Canada's Therapeutic Access Strategy (TAS), a five-year strategy to improve the safety, effectiveness and access to therapeutic products available to Canadians. MedEffect's goal is to provide centralized access to new safety information about marketed health products in an easy to find, easy to remember location, on the new Health Canada Internet.

MedEffet est une initiative qui fait partie de la Stratégie d'accès aux produits thérapeutiques (SAPT) de Santé Canada, une stratégie quinquennale visant à améliorer la sécurité et l'efficacité des produits thérapeutiques offerts aux Canadiennes et aux Canadiens, ainsi que l'accès à ceux-ci. Le but de MedEffet est d'assurer un accès centralisé aux nouveaux renseignements sur la sécurité des produits de santé commercialisés, en les regroupant dans un portail facile à trouver et facile à se souvenir sur le nouveau site Internet de Santé Canada.
