A silver-white, brilliant metallic element which bears the symbol Hg (for "hydrargyrum"), is found native (relatively rare) but is more commonly obtained by sublimation from cinnabar, its most important ore, is liquid at ordinary temperatures (in the 0-100°C range), bears the atomic number 80, the atomic weight 200.52, melts at -38.9°C, boils at 356.6°C, and has a density of 13.550 kg/m-3. 6, record 1, English, - mercury
