Under the Minor Use Research Program, funding is provided to conduct research in support of the introduction of minor use pesticides which pose a reduced risk to the environment. Projects are intended to improve the capacity of the agricultural sector for environmental stewardship through improved access to biopesticides and other reduced-risk pesticides and application technologies. Projects may also investigate the effects of minor use pesticides on non-target organisms and the environment.
