A form of terrain flight that follows the earth's contours and as close to obstacles as possible, whilst adapting speed and height to avoid detection.

OBS

When hovering or flying in nap-of-the-earth mode, consideration must be given to rotor downwash signature that may develop from dust, sand, dirt and/or snow.
