Objective: To promote pride and recognition in and of the Canadian Public Service by providing internal recognition and by raising public awareness of the excellence of our Public Service. In 1992, MP Marlene Catterall introduced a bill (Bill C-328) in the House of Commons to recognize the values of the services rendered by public servants. The Act designated the third week in June as National Public Service Week.
