COSP provides government of Canada grants to homeowners and businesses to help them meet the costs of converting their heating systems from oil to more plentiful domestic energy sources. COSP is a 10-year program, with the major objective of reducing the use of oil to less than 10 per cent of total energy use in residential space and water heating.

En vertu du PCRP, le gouvernement du Canada verse des subventions aux propriétaires de maisons et aux entreprises en vue de les aider à convertir leur système de chauffage au mazout à un système alimenté par une source d'énergie plus abondante au Canada.
