[The person who] tends a machine that automatically sorts perforated tabulating cards into specified groups: Riffles cards to prevent overfeeding, and jamming, and places cards in feedbox. Pushes buttons on sorting control panel to regulate sorting process. Starts machine and sights through holes to verify sorting. Removes sorted cards from bins. Removes jammed cards to clear machine. May reproduce damaged cards on keypunch machine. May operate tabulating machine, verifying machine, or switchboard.
