Elle devrait mettre une sonde en orbite circumplanétaire, après avoir largué 2 petites stations scientifiques et 2 «pénétrateurs» qui iront, les unes se poser en surface, les autres se ficher dans le sol martien pour faire des analyses et renvoyer des données enregistrées.
