When a claimant is referred to the IRB [Immigration and Refugee Board], an immigration officer may issue a conditional departure order against that person. The order takes effect only if the claimant: withdraws or abandons the claim to refugee protection; or is refused protection.

Quand la revendication est déférée à la CISR [Commission de l'immigration et du statut de réfugié], l'agent d'immigration peut prendre une mesure d'interdiction de séjour conditionnelle contre le demandeur. Cuando la ASFC [Agencia de Servicios Fronterizos de Canadá] remite una persona, como solicitante de asilo, a la CIR [Comisión de Inmigración y Refugiados de Canadá], emite también una orden de salida obligatoria condicional contra esa persona. Dicha orden sólo tendrá efecto y la ASFC sólo expulsará a la persona en cuestión si ésta desiste de su solicitud de asilo o si la CIR no le otorga el asilo.
