Si l'opérateur est droitier il se place du côté gauche de l'animal et vice versa. Les testicules sont étroitement appliqués sur le fond des bourses. Par une incision profonde d'avant en arrière de chaque côté du raphé on les découvre (méthode n°3). Avec une anesthésie locale correcte, ils peuvent être facilement extériorisés en raison de la paralysie du muscle cremaster. Après dilacération des ligaments postérieurs de l'épididyme, les testicules sont enlevés l'un après l'autre par section du cordon au moyen d'un émasculateur. Un bon émasculateur n'a pas besoin d'être laissé en place pendant plus de 2 minutes.
