Polymères métallocènes comme additifs pour les plastiques. Les résines métallocènes trouvent une application inattendue comme additifs pour résines standards et dans les alliages de polymères et «compounds». Exxon a constaté que ses résines métallocènes, incorporées à proportion de 15 à 30% dans les polyoléfines, amélioraient la résistance aux chocs et la limite élastique. Elles peuvent aussi, dans certains cas, jouer le rôle de plastifiant. Les applications concernent le secteur de l'automobile (pare-chocs et pièces d'habillage intérieur), l'emballage (films, bouteilles ou fûts), les produits médicaux (seringues), etc.
