La couche intérieure en EPDM [éthylène-propylène diène] de tuyaux en élastomère pour vapeur est sensible à la pénétration d'eau (gonflement d'eau de l'âme de tuyau). Après une nouvelle admission d'eau suite à une immobilisation et le refroidissement s'y rapportant, l'eau qui s'est infiltrée s'évapore spontanément.
