Développé aux États-Unis, le procédé Cold Jet consiste à projeter de la glace sèche sur une surface à nettoyer. La glace sèche est du gaz carbonique solidifié [...] dont la température est abaissée à -82° Celsius (-115° Fahrenheit). Lorsque [le produit] entre en contact avec la surface, il décolle les particules indésirables et s'évapore dans l'air.

Ce procédé pourrait réduire de façon considérable l'utilisation de produits chimiques dans le nettoyage des équipements industriels : la pulvérisation de glace sèche.
