The Attorney General has a unique role to play as a Minister. One part of the Attorney General's role is that of a Cabinet Minister. In this capacity the Minister is responsible for representing the interests and perspectives of the Ministry at Cabinet, while simultaneously representing the interests and perspectives of Cabinet and consequently the Government to the Ministry and the Ministry's communities of interest. The Attorney General is the chief law officer of the Executive Council. The responsibilities stemming from this role are unlike those of any other Cabinet member. Le procureur général joue un rôle unique en tant que ministre. L'un de ses rôles consiste à être ministre du Cabinet. Dans l'exercice de ses fonctions, le ministre est chargé de représenter les intérêts et les points de vue du ministère au Cabinet, tout en représentant les intérêts et les points de vue du Cabinet et du gouvernement auprès du ministère et de ses organismes d'intérêt. Le procureur général est le conseiller juridique en chef du Conseil exécutif. Les responsabilités qui découlent de ce rôle ne ressemblent aucunement à celles des autres membres du Cabinet.
