RESIN BAG [2 records]

Record 1 2006-05-23

English

Subject field(s)
  • Sports Equipment and Accessories
  • Mountain Sports
DEF

... a large cloth with powdered resin placed in the middle, tied with a string and used for "thwacking" against holds for extra adhesion.

OBS

Since resin is not used for rock-climbing in North America, the concept of resin bag is not part of the North American terminology.

OBS

Resin bag. This is not common in Britain although very popular in the rest of Europe, particularly at ... Fontainebleau near Paris.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Équipement et accessoires de sport
  • Sports de montagne
DEF
