The Respiratory Protection Program (RPP) aims to protect the health of DND (Department of National Defence) and CF (Canadian Forces) personnel working in contaminated atmospheres where engineering and other controls to eliminate the hazard are not possible. It provides the procedural information and guidance associated with controlling health hazards where departmental members are endangered by exposure to a hazardous substance in the air. The RPP consists of components for: program administration; hazard identification; selection of respiratory protective devices (RPD); training; cleaning and maintenance of RPD; testing of breathing air; health surveillance of the wearer; and program evaluation. 1, record 1, English, - Respiratory%20Protection%20Program

1, record 1, French, - Programme%20de%20protection%20respiratoire
