Les éléments de centrage et de fixation permettent de fixer le moule sur les plateaux de la presse, d'aligner le nez de la machine avec la buse du moule et d'accoupler les dispositifs d'éjection de la presse et de l'outillage. Le centrage peut être obtenu grâce à un orifice ménagé sur le plateau de la presse situé du côté du plastificateur et dans lequel on introduit la rondelle de centrage du moule.
