Identification of mechanisms by which plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) affect plants is required to obtain consistent or predictable increases in crop yields using PGPR. We conducted an outdoor lysimeter study using twelve glass-fronted rhizotrons to determine if inoculation with a strain of Pseudomonas fluorescens might benefit spring wheat yield by altering root growth. Inoculated and uninoculated treatments were either well-watered or subjected to terminal drought with just one surface irrigation at anthesis. 2, record 1, English, - terminal%20drought

2, record 1, French, - s%C3%A9cheresse%20terminale
