Principle which states that the ratio of the sine of the angle of incidence to the sine of the angle of refraction is constant at the interface between two different media for a specific wavelength of radiation. 4, record 1, English, - Snel%27s%20law

SNEL'S LAW gives the quantitative change of direction of a ray of light in passing from one medium to another. The product n sin z is the same on both sides of a plane interface between two media, where n is the local refractive index, and z is the local angle the ray makes with the normal to the interface. 5, record 1, English, - Snel%27s%20law
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
The actual law of refraction was discovered in the early 1600s by a Dutch mathematician and geodesist, Willebrord Snel van Royen. (Because his name in Latin is "Snellius", the law is often called "Snell's law" instead of "Snel's law". 6, record 1, English, - Snel%27s%20law

6, record 1, French, - loi%20de%20Snel
