Dans les sources françaises consultées, nous ne retrouvons pas un tel terme générique. C'est pourquoi nous proposons «pile solaire» et «cellule solaire» à titre d'équivalents. Ces deux termes proviennent de la série synonymique tirée du Grand dictionnaire encyclopédique Larousse (LAROG), 1982, vol. 8, p. 8093, sous la rubrique photopile.
