Il existe deux méthodes d'introduction de l'échantillon au sommet de la colonne : les injecteurs à seringue et les vannes à boucle d'échantillonnage. Injecteurs à seringue. Avec ce type d'injecteur, l'injection est effectuée au moyen d'une seringue [...] au travers d'un septum [....] La première méthode est recommandée pour des pressions n'excédant pas 200 bar [....] La seconde méthode [est] compatible avec des pressions élevées et présente la même efficacité que la première [....] Les injecteurs à seringue permettent d'introduire l'échantillon au centre de la colonne dans des conditions d'efficacité optimale. En revanche, les résultats sont moins reproductibles qu'avec les vannes d'échantillonnage. Les injecteurs à seringue conviennent donc particulièrement bien aux analyses qualitatives.
