Approval from the COMSEC [Communications-electronic security] authority is to be obtained for configuration changes to TEMPEST-compliant systems. Maintain records of all changes. The TEMPEST profile of secure telecommunication systems may be impaired by even such minor changes in equipment configuration as the rerouting of cables or the relocation of telephones. Periodic TEMPEST surveys using specialized test equipment should be conducted.

OBS

TEMPEST: An unclassified short name referring to investigations and studies of compromising emanations. It is synonymous with the term emission security.

Il faut également tenir un registre de tous ces changements.
