The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is a prestigious, publicly-attended film festival held each September in Toronto, Canada. The festival begins the Thursday night after Labour Day (the first Monday in September, in Canada) and lasts for ten days. Between 300-400 films are screened at approximately 23 screens in downtown Toronto venues. The TIFF is among the top film festivals in the world. Le Festival international du film de Toronto (Toronto International Film Festival, TIFF) est un festival de cinéma annuel, qui se tient à Toronto (Canada). Le festival commence le mardi après Labour Day (premier lundi du mois de septembre) et dure 10 jours. 300 à 400 films y sont présentés dans différentes catégories. Le festival ne décerne pas de palmarès. Il est considéré comme l'un des plus importants festivals au monde et de ce fait l'un des premiers en Amérique du nord.
