Record 1 2025-01-06

English

Subject field(s)
  • Diagnostic Procedures (Medicine)
  • Endocrine System and Metabolism
  • Hygiene and Health
  • Physical Fitness Training and Bodybuilding
CONT

Your basal metabolic rate (BMR) refers to the minimum number of calories your body needs to function at a basic level. This includes maintaining all your cells and essential bodily functions, like breathing, blood circulation and body temperature. ... RMR and BMR are similar but different. RMR represents the amount of energy your body needs to function while at rest. But it includes the calories necessary for low-effort daily activities like going to the bathroom and getting dressed. RMR is slightly higher than BMR by about 10% due to the calorie needs of these low-energy activities.

CONT

CONT

Tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR) is a magnetoresistive effect that occurs in a magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ), which is a component consisting of two ferromagnets separated by a thin insulator. If the insulating layer is thin enough (typically a few nanometres), electrons can tunnel from one ferromagnet into the other.

CONT

CONT

... a system that incorporates three or more identical units with the same input can be used to correct errors by choosing the output that a majority of the modules agree on. In the simplest case, three modules are needed where two of the modules are redundant. Von Neumann also proposed that the proper output be chosen by a majority element or organ (as he called it), as discussed in an earlier chapter. This element has an output that agrees with the majority of inputs, and this system (is) called triple modular redundancy (TMR).
