Le terme français porte à la fois le sens de «retrouver la normale au ralenti» et celui de «recouvrer ses forces après l'effort ou un passage à vide». Un entraînement bien mené n'amène pas ce passage à vide où l'athlète se retrouve en manque d'oxygène dans l'effort; il peut en être autrement en cours de compétition où l'intensité du moment amène souvent l'athlète à se surpasser, ce qui l'oblige alors à «récupérer», dans les deux sens du terme. 2, record 1, French, - r%C3%A9cup%C3%A9rer
