In his English-French Glossary of Curling Terms of 1986, on page 23E, Pierre Dallaire writes: "Brier: A term reserved exclusively to the men's curling championship held annually in Canada before 1968 and, since 1986, to the Men's World Curling Championship [SIC]". Nevertheless, none of the sources consulted links the term "Brier" to the "World Men's Curling Championship," all of them considering that it has been exclusively associated, since 1927, with the "Canadian Men's Curling Championship." 3, record 1, English, - World%20Curling%20Championships
