Milking robots are automatic milking systems where milking is performed without direct participation of an operator. The cows are milked throughout the day, including 1 or 2 h needed for cleaning the equipment. An average number of milkings per day is 2. 5–3. The result is by 10–15% higher production. Cows may visit a milking robot voluntarily or they may be directed to do it through automatic gates. Generally in barns with a milking robot, cows are kept indoors all year.

When a cow enters the machine, an electronic ear tag or collar will trigger the computer as to what milking this would be and if she is really ready. A robotic arm then swings under her udder. The teats are then washed using rollers.

(1) The Commission may designate, by name, title of office or class of persons, any person whom the Commission considers qualified as a designated officer and any officer so designated shall be provided with a certificate setting out the duties that the designated officer is authorized to carry out.(2) The Commission may authorize a designated officer to(a) certify and decertify prescribed equipment for the purposes of this Act;(b) certify and decertify persons referred to in paragraph 44(1)(k) as qualified to carry out their duties under this Act or the duties of their employment, as the case may be;(c) issue, on receipt of an application referred to in subsection 24(2), a licence of a class established by the Commission;(d) renew, suspend in whole or in part, amend, revoke or replace, on receipt of an application referred to in subsection 24(2), a licence referred to in paragraph(c) ;(e) designate any person whom the designated officer considers qualified as an analyst under section 28 or as an inspector under subsection 29(1) ;(f) make any order that an inspector may make under subsection 35(1) or(2) ;(g) confirm, amend, revoke or replace any order made by an inspector; or(h) authorize the return to work of persons whose dose of radiation has exceeded the prescribed radiation dose limits.

A system for coin grading using a combination of letters and numbers, instead of an adjectival scale, to express the state of a coin. It was conceived in the late 1940's by Dr. William H. Sheldon who devised a numerical scale, on which 1 represented the worst possible condition of preservation of an unmutilated coin, while 70 was the best possible condition. Used in conjunction with the most common abbreviations that describe coins verbally, it gives a precise idea of the degree of wear of a coin.

OBS

Originally developed for United States coins, especially early ones, the system has since been adopted for all other coins of Canada and the USA by both the CNA and the ANA. Sometimes, it is incorrectly referred to as the Mint State System.
