ACHIEVED RELIABILITY [6 records]

Record 1 2023-10-23

English

Subject field(s)
  • Computer Mathematics
  • Digital Currency
DEF

An algorithm used in distributed process systems to reach an agreement on a single data value.

OBS

These algorithms ensure that a level of reliability is achieved in a network consisting of a series of nodes. If a transaction takes place, the algorithm communicates across the network to verify that particular action.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Mathématiques informatiques
  • Monnaie électronique
DEF

[Algorithme] qui permet de trouver un accord sur une valeur unique de données entre des processus ou des systèmes distribués.

CONT

Interferometric synthetic aperture radar(InSAR) is a promising recent technique for the generation of digital elevation models and/or the measurement of ground surface deformations. In InSAR data processing, the first step is the image co-registration, achieved by using a set of tie points which are the conjugate image points on the master and slave images. Tie points are selected with the aim of finding the conjugate point automatically on the slave image for any given point on the master image, by the process known as image matching. To achieve reliable matching, a set of points within a window is used instead of a single point. The size of the window will affect the reliability of matching. Hitherto there have been no effective methods for the determination of optimum window size for this purpose. In practice, this parameter is determined by experience.

Key term(s)

CONT

Subject field(s)
  • Atomic Physics
  • Semiconductors (Electronics)
CONT

Electron trap generation in the gate oxide is a major reliability problem, since it can cause stress-induced leakage current and oxide breakdown. In this paper, traps are created either by the substrate hole injection or the Fowler-Nordheim injection. The attention is focused on how detrapping affects the generated traps. The detrapping is achieved by different techniques, including electron-hole recombination, and field or thermally assisted tunnelling.

Fluorescent PCR : A New Technique for PGD of Sex and Single-Gene Defects. For single-cell diagnosis, particularly preimplantation genetic diagnosis to be successful four main criteria must be achieved : sensitivity, reliability, accuracy, and identification/elimination of contamination... Fluorescent PCR achieves all four necessary criteria and, in addition, currently allows genes on up to nine chromosomes to be simultaneously investigated.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Biochimie
CONT

Le principe de la PCR fluorescente est d'utiliser des oligonucléotides marqués par un fluorochrome. La détection du signal fluorescent se fait à l'aide d'un séquenceur automatique.

OBS

Technique susceptible d'améliorer le diagnostic génétique préimplantatoire.

CONT

The recently-developed Minneapolis Preschool Screening Instrument is educationally-oriented, brief, and economical to administer, and it has achieved sensitivity in the range of 60-63% and specificity from 89-93%. It shows promising reliability and validity, but it needs to be assessed on different populations before widespread use.

Domaine(s)

OBS
