When you do find yourself in the CAP, or over the target, what is available to do the deed? As in any depiction of a combat aircraft belonging to Uncle Sam, one has a multitude of radar modes and/or weapons to match the answer to the problem. The APG-73 radar in the Air to Air mode, give us all the usual suspects.... Also a nice job with the Non-Cooperative Target Recognition(NCTR) mode is used.

In terms of short and medium range air combat effectiveness, the best fighter in service today is probably still the McDonnell Douglas F-1SC Eagle, powered by two 130kilonewton Pratt & Whitney F100 or General Electric FllO engines, and equipped with the Hughes APG-63 radar and a mix of Hughes/Raytheon AIM-120 long/medium range missiles and Raytheon/Loral AIM-9M short range missiles.
